Accupocket Battery Welder

The slideshow above illustrates where the Accupocket Battery welder typically comes into its own. Photographed on a remote construction site at Biggleswade in Bedfordshire.

The Accupocket Battery Powered Welder from Fronius, launched in the UK on 19th March 2014, is the world's first integral battery powered welder and is available now and in stock from PWP.
The integral high-performance rechargeable battery momentarily delivers high short-circuiting currents, which are above average, during welding, reliably minimising electrode-sticking. The perfect interplay between the battery and the welding electronics also permits high welding voltage at high power. This prevents annoying arc-breaks.
AccuPocket welds all types of electrode (rutile, basic, CEL and specialpurpose electrodes) up to a diameter of 3.25 mm. Steel, high-alloy steels and aluminium are all suitable base metals. This versatility makes the AccuPocket an attractive proposition in every user segment. A fully charged battery is enough to weld up to six 3.25 mm electrodes or up to eighteen 2.5 mm ones.
